How do you measure out the portions? We have a Beagle, she eats cooked food with rice, but your recipes sound more filling, so I don't know how much I can give her and not have her feel hungry at the end of the meal.
Hello there! I finally found this newsletter and recipe. Thank you! I see you mention a rotation of oils… what do you use and how much? We have two husky adoptees and would love to get more recipes. We’ve been feeding raw successfully to our previous dogs who both lived a long time 18 and 15 years for a beagle and black lab), but I’d like to step up my game and home cook. Also, will you be publishing any of your other recipes? Thank you!
Hi Kelly, I see you found the answers for the oils! I love how you say you want to “step up your game and home cook”; I am working on a video/newsletter explaining why I will not feed my dog raw. Yes I have two recipes in my draft folder to go out, one is for a slow cooker London Broil and one is for a Slow cooker Pork Roast. The exact time to be released depends on my busy schedule with all my other social media platforms and on line consults but I hope to release another recipe within the next few weeks.
Thank you, Paula! I appreciate all of your research. I have many other questions… I’ll keep poking around on what you’ve already video’d and written about. Thank you again.
Do you cook the veggies? I wasn't very clear on that. I'm just now starting to cook for my 2 9 lb boys & wanted to know how much to feed them. Ones 10 yrs old & ones 1.5. also I just ordered them a calcium & phosphorus supplement pill, should something like that be ok?
I am so glad you are starting to home cook! Yes I cook all the veggies, mostly I roast them and some I buy frozen and just defrost. I have been using Animal Essentials Seaweed Calcium for 13 years and it is an excellent product and would not use anything else. You add 1 teaspoon of the powder per pound of protein to the recipe. I think you would be benefit from a 60 minute consult with me, I can cover a lot of info and make sure you are not missing out on any necessary information. If you are interested, pls contact me at cutthekibble@gmail.com
How exciting. You really need to wait until your Bichon is six months old to home cook amd with bigger dogs one year. That being said if I was getting a puppy tomorrow I would definitely be home cooking but I would need to do more research to see what puppy supplements I could offer

Thank you for the recipe. I am getting my 8 week old Bichon at the end of August, 2022. I am new to the cooking dog food.
